Panel technology, brightness, camera exposure, viewing angle, and room light can all change the appearance of dark areas. Inspect with your eyes, not a phone photo alone.

Before you inspect

Is every bright corner backlight bleed?

No. Viewing-angle glow and reflections may change as you move, while a persistent irregular area may behave differently. This tool cannot classify it for you.

What brightness should I use?

Start at the brightness you normally use. Extreme brightness can exaggerate dark-field differences.

Why do the controls disappear?

They fade to reduce stray light during dark checks. Move the pointer, tap the screen, or press a key to reveal them.
